We witnessed a number of electric-scooter launches in 2022. From premium to Chinese models, various names made it to the Indian market this year. And some of them even introduced the mass to a vast pack of features. So, we’ve made a list of the most feature-rich scooters launched in India in 2022.
Ather 450X Gen 3
Ather recently revamped its e-scooter line with new features and hardware too. Both the 450 X and 450 Plus Gen 3 models offer more range with their larger battery packs and also feature 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM. Other features like riding modes, regenerative braking, navigation, ride statistics, OTA updates, geo-fencing, side-stand cut-off, fast charging, and more are standard. The asking price for the Ather 450X Gen 3 is Rs 1.55 lakh and the 450 Plus Gen 3 retails at Rs 1.34 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Ola S1 and S1 Air
Ola Electric relaunched the Ola S1 in India and later on also launched the S1 Air as its most affordable offering. The S1 and S1 Air offer most of the features that the S1 Pro does. So you get a touchscreen TFT, navigation, ride modes, music play back, OTA updates, smartphone connectivity, side stand alert and more. The two scooters differe in terms of range, top speed and the braking and suspension hardware. Ola offers the S1 Air at Rs 84,999 and the S1 at Rs 99,999 (both ex-showroom Bengaluru).
TVS iQube range
TVS too debuted the updated iQube in 2022. But the Hosur-based e-scooter is now available in three variants: base, S and ST. As of now, TVS has only launched the base and S model with the ST still on the charts. The iQube and iQube S are equipped with TFT screens, navigation, geo-fencing, smartphone connectivity, anti-theft alert and more. Both models also get ride modes and live location status too. Currently, the TVS iQube and iQube S are priced at Rs 98,564 and Rs 1,08,690 (both on-road Delhi) respectively.
Vida V1
Hero MotoCorp also made its entry in the Indian electric two-wheeler market with the launch of its sub brand Vida. It debuted two models dubbed the V1 Plus and V1 Pro and both are equipped with LED illumination, seven-inch TFT screen, ride modes, cruise control, keyless operation, smartphone connectivity, and S.O.S. alerts too. Vida has priced the V1 Plus at Rs 1.45 lakh and the V1 Pro costs Rs 1.59 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
