We’re back again with the list of the most popular manufacturers in July on BikeWale. The interesting bit here is there has been a marginal change in the research trend last month. While the ranking hasn’t changed at all, what has changed is the total visits and the number of buying interests.
Rank 5 : Yamaha
Yamaha saw a 1.7 per cent increase in its overall sales, with visits close to a million. The YZF-R15 took the top spot, which is quite interesting. The R15 is priced over a lakh, but the first spot has made us believe that there are a lot of Indian consumers who are still interested in getting this 150cc fully faired motorcycle home. The FZ-S V2.0 and the Fascino took the next three spots.
Rank 4 : Royal Enfield
When it comes to Royal Enfield, there’s hardly any change in buying interests and research traffic. In July as well, the Chennai-based manufacturer continued to attract close to a million visitors but saw a drop of 0.66 per cent in visits. And just like every time, the Classic 350 continued to get the most number of visits.
Rank 3: Hero MotoCorp
The number one two-wheeler manufacturer in the world saw a whopping 7.12 per cent increase in overall visits as compared to June. This was possible, thanks to the new Splendor iSmart 110 launch and the growing demand for its two scooters – the Duet and the Maestro Edge. The Splendor iSmart 100 continues to get a lot of visitors from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Rank 2: Bajaj
Out of all the five manufacturers in this list, Bajaj saw the maximum dip in consumer interests at 4.72 per cent. While the Avenger 150 and the V15 continues to rule the chart, its other bikes like the Pulsar AS200 isn’t contributing a lot. The overall visits for Bajaj stood close to 1.3 million.
Rank 1: Honda
This isn’t a surprise, right? Well, Honda has the strongest product portfolio now and that’s why it managed to get around 1.6 million visits last month. In fact, the CB Hornet 160R has helped the company become the talk of the town in the world of internet. And then there’s also the Activa range of scooters. All three scooters continues to lead the scooter sales as well as research in India.
