October being a festive month, there was a sudden increase of research activity from customers across various brands. From mass-market companies to premium ones, all saw a good amount of traffic on BikeWale.
Rank 5: Yamaha
Yamaha has managed to stay in this place for the last couple of months. Products like the R15, FZ-S and the Fascino saw good response from customers. For Yamaha, the YZF-R15 was the most researched bike on BikeWale. The interesting bit of Yamaha’s performance was the purchasing interest. Almost 54 per cent of the Yamaha visitors intended to a Yamaha bike. In short, every one out of two visitors wanted to buy a Yamaha product.
Rank 4: TVS
This is the first time TVS has ever made it to the list. This was possible due to heavy research on the Apache RTR 160, the Jupiter and the Apache RTR 200. The Jupiter is one of the most value-for-money scooters one can buy in India, due to which there’s also some curiosity around it. The Apache RTR 200 being their latest product, also saw a good number of visits. However, the Apache RTR 160 contributed the most visits. Nearly 41 per cent of TVS visitors showed interest in buying TVS bikes.
Rank 3: Bajaj
Bajaj has had steady research visits from Indian buyers for many months now. Products like the V15 and the Pulsar 220 saw a good surge in traffic but the Pulsar 150 topped the growth chart. But the purchase interest for Bajaj bikes were the lowest at 34 per cent.
Rank 2: Hero MotoCorp
The Passion Pro is the most researched Hero product, followed by the Splendor iSmart and the Splendor Plus. Interestingly, Hero’s scooters like the Maestro Edge and the Duet haven’t been able to have a good online presence, due to which it doesn’t even appear in the top 10 Hero bike list. Almost 40 per cent of the Hero researchers showed interest in buying the product they researched.
Rank 1: Honda
Honda has been the most popular motorcycle brand in October and this isn’t the first time. Products like the Activa and the CB Hornet 160R have helped the Japanese manufacturer be the favourite on the internet. The CB Shine and the CB Unicorn 160 also got good numbers from customers. Around 35 per cent of these visitors showed interest in getting a Honda product home.
