Scooters are the fastest growing segment in the Indian two-wheeler market. However, due to demonetization and year-end negative buying segment, the demand for the scooters decreased. There were drop in sales as well as dealer dispatches. But in the world of internet, there wasn’t any drop in research searches. In this story, we list down the most popular scooters in December.
Rank 3: Honda Activa 125
This isn’t the first time the Honda Activa 125 has made it to the list. The association of the word Activa has made this scooter a popular choice for all sorts of buyers. The views for this scooter were marginally less than the Jupiter. However, the overall buying interest from these researchers wasn’t much compared to the other two scooters in this list.
Rank 2: TVS Jupiter
The Jupiter has been doing well in terms of sales and also helping buliding TVS's reputation as a scooter manufacturer. While the number of research visits for this scooter isn’t as impressive as the Activa 3G, the number of visitors opting for it is high as 60 per cent. Interestingly, a lot of Indian buyers from Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities are showing a lot of interest.
Rank 1: Honda Activa 3G
The Activa has been topping this list since the beginning of this list. The brand value of this scooter is so strong that customers aren’t choosing scooters that are more value of money and are also better equipped. This scooter attracted close to 2 lakh visits from the Indian customers, and the majority of the visits came from metro cities.
