- Gets a new slip-on exhaust
- Features cosmetic updates over the base model
- Powered by an 850cc 90-degree V-twin
Italian two-wheeler marquee, Moto Guzzi has presented its latest retro offering at the EICMA 2022. Dubbed the V9 Bobber Special Edition, the bike is built on the existing V9 platform but features a few changes. Let’s take a look at it.
The V9 Bobber Special Edition borrows the retro design from the standard model. It sports a round LED headlight, gaitered telescopic forks, a wide handlebar with bar end mirrors, a split seat, and bulky exhaust. However, this trim gets a dual-tone paint scheme with blacked-out parts, short front/rear fenders, and a billet aluminum fuel cap.
It houses the same 850cc 90-degree V-twin with the output rated at 64bhp and 73Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. It features LED illumination, LCD, dual-channel ABS and a traction control system.
The Moto Guzzi V9 Special Edition rides on 40mm telescopic front forks and dual rear springs with preload adjustability. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises a couple of 320mm front discs and a 260mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The brake setup is mounted on 16-inch alloys wrapped in 130/90 front and 150/80 rear tyres.
Apart from the Special Edition, Moto Guzzi also offers the V9 Bobber in two other variants: standard and roamer. The bike’s currently been unveiled overseas and is likely to go on sale in select markets in the coming months.
