Moto Guzzi has revealed the 2015 updates for its popular motorcycles, the Griso 1200 8V SE and the V7 Stone. Though both the motorcycles are mechanically identical to the previous version, they feature quite a few cosmetic changes to retain their novelty factor.
The Griso 1200 8V SE is a special edition which is available in a rosso trophy (matte) version. It gets red lining for the saddle and matching red thread double-stitching for the seats. Other aesthetic enhancements include a black chassis, racing footrests, full black power train, black instrument panel covers and special spoke wheels. It retains the 1151cc 90 degree V-twin engine which churns out 108bhp and 108Nm of torque and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The retro styled 2015 V7 Stone gets new paint schemes which reinforce its modern yet vintage 70s appeal. The motorcycle will be offered in three colour options- rosso corposo, verde agata and matte black and the entire motorcycle except for the chromed engine and exhaust, comes garnished in a single paint. It continues to be powered by a 744cc, 90 degree V-twin engine which pumps out 49bhp and 58Nm of torque through a five-speed gearbox.
Moto Guzzi is an offbeat Italian manufacturer with a long lineage of classic motorcycles. Though the brand has evolved over time, the products continue to keep in touch with the iconic allure of their original models. Set to go on sale in the US market in September, the bizarre Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V SE will carry a price tag of USD 12,990 (Rs 7.86 lakh) while the company’s top-selling motorcycle, the V7 stone will retail at USD 8,490 (Rs 5.14 lakh).
