- Gets Dakar-inspired styling
- Uses a 1187cc V2 engine
- Could be launched in India
Moto Morini has been on a roll at the EICMA 2023, unveiling quite a few all-new motorcycles. The globally awaited X-Cape 1200 is also one of them.
The X-Cape 1200 is bigger sibling to the X-Cape 650 sold in India. While the design language is recognisable, the 1200’s styling leans more towards Dakar motorcycles. It also gets an aggressive front end that would remind you of supervillans from the Marvel universe. Moreover, the adventure motorcycle comes with 19/17-inch spoke wheels wrapped with dual-purpose Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tyres and a large, upswept exhaust canister.
Powering the X-Cape 1200 is a 1187cc, Corsa Corta Evo V2 engine that puts out 125bhp and sits in a trellis frame made from steel and aluminium. The motorcycle’s feature list includes cruise control, and a seven-inch TFT with integrated navigation as well. Now, the bike weighs around 250kg and offers 170mm of travel at the front and 160mm of travel at the rear.
Since Moto Morini is going aggressive with its approach in global markets, we can expect it to do the same in India as well and launch the X-Cape 1200 in the country sometime in 2024.
