Andrea Dovizioso pulled off another victory at the Catalunya MotoGP race, making it his second victory in as many races. Marc Marquez made it through a crash-filled weekend to bring it home in second place. Pedrosa had a difficult second half of the race, but managed get himself a podium spot.
Lorenzo seems to get better and better with the Ducati, and ended fourth. It was a great day for the Monster Tech 3 Yamaha team, Zarco and Folger bringing it home in fifth and sixth place. This also happens to be Folger's best finish so far in the premiere class. Bautista had another good day in the office, finishing seventh, while the Doctor rode a good race given the difficult conditions, to climb to eighth place from 13th. Hector Barbera split Rossi and Vinales in ninth, Vinales suffering the same lack-of-grip issues as Vale and slipping one place to tenth.
Other notable mentions are Ianonne, who had such a terrible time, he only just managed to finish ahead of Guintoli, who is a last-minute replacement for the injured Alex Rins. A visibly frustrated Aleix Espargaro had yet another retirement, his engine giving up on him this time. He was convinced he had the pace for a good result.
