After a most unpredictable race at Misano, the MotoGP riders' championship has now shown signs of leaders emerging. In fact, the top two are tied for points. In third place is factory Yamaha rider Vinales, and Rossi still remains in fourth place despite missing out his home race due to a fractured leg. Pedrosa holds fort in fifth, and the rest of the field remains much the same with a few changes here and there. The riders' standings after the Misano MotoGP race are as follows:
