Valentino Rossi has been cleared to race in his home race, the Mugello round of MotoGP. He was examined by FIM Medical Director, Dr. Giancarlo Di Filippo; the Chief Medical Officer of the Mugello Circuit, Dr. Remo Barbagli; and the MotoGP Medical Director, Dr. Angel Charte.
What is clear is that Rossi isn't at 100 per cent fitness, which can be an issue thanks to the layout of Mugello, with a couple of high-speed corners and quick direction changes. However, with his home crowd egging him on and the determination that saw him ride through many an injury in his career, anything can happen. What is sure that we can expect him to steer clear of motocross for a while, at least.
As we are fond of saying - never count Rossi out on Sunday.
