The Indian two-wheeler market witnessed the arrival of several products in the scooters and motorcycles segment. The list included new and updated models and here we list all the motorcycles that were launched in India in March 2023.
2023 Honda Hness CB350 and CB350 RS
After introducing the optional accessories for the Hness CB350 and CB350 RS, the company announced the launch of the OBD2-compliant variants of these Royal Enfield rivals. Apart from the necessary hardware to comply with the OBD2 emission standards, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has also added new features to these products. The CB350 RS, for example, get a Bluetooth module, while the Hness CB350 benefits from a split-style seat. The updates have affected the ex-showroom prices and this range is now available from Rs. 2,09,857 onwards.
After several products, it was the Super Splendor that received the Xtec badge and, along with it, new and premium features. The new Super Splendor Xtec gets a fully-digital instrument cluster that packs Bluetooth connectivity and brings additional functions to the motorcycle. Further, it also gets an LED headlight with an LED DRL and a USB charger as standard. Hero MotoCorp has also updated the motorcycle to comply with the OBD2 norms. Meanwhile, the mechanical specifications retain the 124.7cc single-cylinder motor that makes 10.7bhp and 10.6Nm. This variant of the Super Splendor range is available at Rs. 83,368.
2023 Kawasaki Models
Kawasaki India has announced multiple 2023 models in our market and the list includes the two variants of the Z H2 roadster series, the Versys 1000 litre-class tourer, and the Z900 RS neo-retro. The 2023 Z H2 and Z H2 SE are available in a single colour each, and they have been priced at Rs. 23.03 lakh and Rs. 27.22 lakh, respectively. The 2023 Kawasaki Versys 1000, too, gets a cosmetic upgrade in the form of a new paint theme and it is available at Rs. 12.19 lakh. Meanwhile, the Z900 RS has joined the company’s India portfolio as well, and this neo-retro has been launched at Rs. 16.47 lakh.
2023 Bajaj Pulsar Models
Bajaj Auto has updated its portfolio with the launch of three Pulsar-series motorcycles, the NS200, NS160, and 220F. The 2023 Pulsar NS200 and Pulsar NS160 get a major update in the form of upside-down front forks instead of conventional units on their respective predecessors. Then, the company has updated the instrument clusters on all three motorcycles to display additional information about the real-time fuel economy and distance-to-empty meters.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has introduced its new Hero Splendor-rivalling 100cc motorcycle, the Shine 100 in our market and it has been priced aggressively at Rs. 64,900. This new 100cc commuter motorcycle draws styling cues from the Shine 125 and is available in five colours. Then, the Shine 100 uses a 100cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that delivers a maximum output of 7.61bhp and a peak torque of 8.05Nm.
2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650
Royal Enfield introduced the much-awaited alloy wheels to its middleweight motorcycles, the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 in the Indian market. These come standard on the blacked-out variants while the rest of the versions continue to use wire-spoke wheels. Further, the company has revised the colour palette for these motorcycles and added new features to the list. These include an LED headlight, USB charger, updated switchgear, and enhanced seat comfort. The 2023 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is available from Rs. 3,03,000, while the Continental GT 650 has been priced from Rs. 3,19,000 onwards.
BMW R 18 Transcontinental
BMW Motorrad has updated its Indian portfolio with the launch of the R 18 Transcontinental, and this motorcycle has been priced at Rs. 31.50 lakh. In comparison, the standard variant is priced at Rs. 22.50 lakh. For this price premium, the R 18 Transcontinental gets several updates over the standard model. These include a large bubble windscreen, bagger-style saddle bags, a top box, and a pillion backrest.
2023 Honda SP125 OBD2
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India also announced the launch of the SP125 OBD2 in our market, and this premium commuter is available in two variants (drum and disc), and the prices start from Rs. 85,131. Apart from OBD2 compliance, this 125cc motorcycle also gets an additional paint option – Matte Marvel Blue Metallic. With this, the 2023 Shine 125 is available in five colours. Further, the company has also added a wider rear tyre to this motorcycle.
