- Move OS4 to be deployed as an OTA update
- Could bring in party mode, Ola maps and more
- Will debut on 15 August
Ola Electric has made an official announcement of the next update for its S1 range of electric scooters. The brand will unveil the Move OS4 software and could also introduce a couple of new offerings in its product portfolio on 15 August.
The Bengaluru-based EV brand revealed on its social media handles that the new software update is incoming tomorrow. We expect it to bring features like party mode, Ola maps and more. Currently, all the Ola S1 scooters are equipped with the OS3 software which packs a host of features like moods, music control, call and SMS notifications, themes and more. We also expect Ola to bring in the final version of the proximity lock/unlock and hill hold for the S1 e-scooter with the Move OS4 update.
Apart from that, the brand is likely to unveil two new products tomorrow. One of them could be a new scooter based on the current S1 series and the other could potentially be an electric motorcycle. Both have been teased by Ola Electric in the past. The new scooter would feature the same twin projector LED headlight with an LED bezel around it. But it could get a different headlight cowl, handlebar, and switch cube. Moreover, we also expect Ola to equip it with the same hardware as the current S1 Air.
Speaking of the motorcycle, Ola Electric teased not one but five different models back in February. And we believe, one of them could debut tomorrow. For reference, the first teaser displayed a fully-faired, adventure, a cruiser and two street bikes. But which one is under the wraps is yet to be known.
As of now, the brand only has two models on sale, the S1 Air and S1 Pro. We recently tested the S1 Air for a brief period and you can read our first ride review to know more.
