Marine Turbine Technologies, better known as MTT, is working on 420 horsepower superbike. Christened MTT 420RR, this turbine engine powered motorcycle will be a successor to one of the most iconic asphalt scorchers of this millennium – the Y2K.
MTT has a reputation for building powerful gas turbine engines for boats, generators and other industrial applications. In automotive circles however, they are best known for the Y2K – a 320 horsepower, two-speed superbike which held the mantle as the fastest production motorcycle for a long time. For the 420RR, MTT has upped the game with a Rolls-Royce Allison 250-C20B engine, producing around 420 horsepower and 813Nm of torque.
As for the cycle parts, MTT will be working closely with suppliers like Ohlins, Brembo and GPR to offer top-drawer components. It is even rumoured to ride on carbon fibre wheels developed by BST specifically for the 420RR. It goes without saying that MTT will be aiming to reclaim the title of the fastest production motorcycle, which currently lies with the Kawasaki Ninja H2R.
