Honda pleasantly surprised everyone today as they made two big announcements at the 2016 Auto Expo today. While the first was the grand unveiling of the Navi, the second big news is that the Honda Africa Twin will soon be launched in India as a locally assembled model.
With the Navi, Honda has ushered in a completely new segment in the Indian market. Powered by a 110cc engine mated to an automatic transmission, the Navi is a miniature monkey bike pitted as a lifestyle product. The Honda Africa Twin on the other hand ssits at the completely apposite end of the spectrum. This litre-class adventure tourer has been hailed as one of most capable bike of its kind, and we eagerly look forward to getting our hands on it.
Bowing to the public demand, Honda has also re-introduced the CB Unicorn 150 in the Indian market. While the company had phased out the popular 150cc commuter motorcycle a few months ago to make way for the CB Unicorn 160, the strong demand for the motorcycle seems to have compelled Honda to take this step.
Honda has brought four new concepts at the Auto Expo, including a three-wheeled hybrid, CX-02 adventure and an electric Cub. It has also introduced new paint schemes for the Dio, the CD 110 Dream, Dream Neo and the CB Unicorn 160. Stay tuned to BikeWale as we bring you more details about these models.
