- New Benelli TRK502 sports minor cosmetic changes
- Gets updated braking hardware
- Likely to be launched in India in the coming months
The new Benelli TRK502 has been spotted in China sporting a few minor updates. To begin with, the adventure-touring motorcycle gets knuckle guards that feature a metal strip in between. It also seems to have revised decals on the radiator guard and tail section.
However, the major change comes in the form of a brand new swingarm which replaces the banana-type unit on the current model. This swingarm appears to be more rigid and could aid in the TRK502’s load carrying ability. Benelli also seems to have taken market feedback and updated the motorcycle’s braking hardware. The new TRK502 features Brembo calipers instead of the Benelli branded units.
Furthermore, the updated Benelli TRK502 will sport a BS6-compliant version of the 500cc, twin-cylinder engine that does duty on the current model. While the BS4 model produces 46.8bhp and 46Nm of torque, we can expect a slight decrease in power figures on the BS6 version. With these updates, we can expect Benelli to demand a premium of around Rs 12,000-Rs 15,000 over the current model which retails at Rs 5.10 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
