- 2021 KTM RC 390 unofficial bookings open
- Booking amount is up to Rs 10,000
- Likely to be around Rs 15,000-20,000 more expensive
The launch of the next-generation 2021 KTM RC 390 might be just around the corner, as suggested by a host of spy shots surfacing on the internet. Now, further backing this speculation is the fact that select KTM dealerships in India have started accepting unofficial bookings for the bike. The booking amount varies depending on the dealer, the maximum being up to Rs 10,000.
At the earliest, KTM might officially introduce the 2021 edition of the supersport within a month from now. Considering the updates it is expected to feature, the price could go up by Rs 15,000-20,000. The existing iteration of the RC 390 retails at Rs 2.66 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
To justify that premium, the KTM RC 390 is likely to be revised in a lot of areas. The design and ergonomics of the bike will be less aggressive and sporty than the outgoing version. There will be changes in the cycle parts too, like an altered frame and sub-frame. While the engine might remain the same 373cc, liquid-cooled unit, the power delivery could be more linear and friendly. New features like a colour TFT dash and a quick shifter are certainly a part of the whole recipe.
The KTM RC 390 goes up against the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the TVSApache RR310 in India. If you want to read all that we know about the 2021 RC 390, click here.
