Aprilia India has announced the launch of the updated SR 160 in our market with prices starting from Rs 1,17,494 (ex-showroom Pune). The scooter is available in three variants – Standard, Carbon, and Race. The standard variant of the scooter is listed in five colours – white, blue, grey, red, and matt black. The Carbon and Race editions are available in single colour each. The Race edition benefits from MotoGP bike-inspired graphics, red alloy wheels, and knuckle guards.
The standard variant of the scooter is priced at Rs 1.17 lakh while the Carbon and Race editions are available at Rs 1.19 lakh and Rs 1.26 lakh, respectively.
All variants feature similar features and specifications. The updated range benefits from a full LED headlight at the front, a redesigned taillight, and a fully-digital instrument cluster. The updated cluster packs a wide range of information such as a top speed recorder, average speed recorder, tachometer, speedometer, odometer, two trip meters, fuel economy indicator, fuel gauge, engine temperature, and a clock. However, it misses the Bluetooth connectivity function.
The mechanical specifications on the complete range retain the BS6-compliant, 124.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, three-valve engine that makes 9.78bhp of power at 7,700rpm and 9.70Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm.
All prices are ex-showroom, Pune
