- New Ather 450S HR homologated
- Could get a 3.7kWh battery
- New Ather 450X also listed on the official website
A lot of new development seems to be taking place at Ather Energy as a few newly registered documents have been leaked online. One of them suggests that a new 450S HR model could be arriving soon and two other documents mention three more battery options in the works. All three filings bear the same date – 19 September.
We think Ather could be working on a new model for the 450S line since the HR has been homologated. As of now, the 450S only comes with a 2.9kWh battery, but if Ather introduces the HR trim, then it can get a larger battery pack with more range. This would result in both, the 450S and 450X range, having two models each – 450S, 450S HR, 450X (2.9kWH) and 450X (3.7kWh).
Moreover, the official Ather website has also listed a new 450X model with a 3.7kWh battery pack. So, the brand is likely to replace the current 450X Gen 3 with a new one. As per our sources, Ather could launch the new 450X (3.7kWh) sometime in October. It’s likely to benefit from the new joystick that the brand has introduced with the 450S and a few other updates as well. Going by the specs listed on the Ather website, the upcoming Ather 450X will be powered by a 3.7kWh battery and get 90kmph of top speed and 110km of maximum range.
Ather could also price it marginally higher than the current 450X Gen 3. The latter retails at Rs. 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
