- Gets a new TFT screen
- Loaded with new features
- Priced at Rs. 1.35 lakh
The launch of the top-end variant of the Bajaj Chetak is just a day away. However, a lot of details of this e-scooter have already been leaked.
Just yesterday, we revealed some pictures of the Chetak premium variant that featured the new TFT instrumentation. This is the first time the Pune-based manufacturer has opted for such a unit for its EV. This variant of Chetak will have a top speed of 73kmph and will come in two modes – Eco and Sport.
In terms of features, this EV will be equipped with hill hold, reverse mode, sequential turn indicators, and Bluetooth app connectivity. Through this system, the rider will be able to accept or reject calls, play music and also use the turn-by-turn navigation. The rider will also have the option to change the display theme – a feature that is becoming standard in most of the premium e-scooters.
This new Chetak will have a bigger battery as well, due to which the range has been extended to 125km in one full charge. However, this is just a claimed figure and the actual real-world number could differ. With a bigger battery, the charging time will also go up.
While the official launch has been planned for tomorrow, 5 January, this new Chetak will carry a price tag of Rs. 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with the Ather 450X, TVS iQube, and also the Ola S1 Pro.
