BikeAdvice team has spied a new Discover being tested on the roads of Pune. The spied motorcycle didn’t have any badging but looks similar to the Discover 100T that was launched earlier this year.
At the first glance, the motorcycle looks no different from the Discover 100T model but at a closer inspection; we came across some interesting traits that makes us believe that a budget variant of the Discover 100T might be in the making. The test mule gets a different side cowl and cheap rear foot-pegs making the motorcycle look very budget in nature. The motorcycle didn’t sport any stickers like the 100T model –a way to save cost.
We won’t be surprised if Bajaj launches a budget Discover 100T model in next few weeks. Few months ago, Rajiv Bajaj, CEO & MD of Bajaj Auto had announced that they will launch 6 new models of the Discover this fiscal year. With the one of the six models, the Discover 125T already on sale, the upcoming budget variant might be positioned between the Discover 100T and last generation Discover 100.
Few days ago we reported about a new version of the Discover spied testing by a BikeWale reader in Dehu road which had some body proportions of a 150cc motorcycle like bigger tank. There is a high chance of Bajaj launching this upcoming 150cc model of the Discover in next few months as the old Discover 150 was discontinued a year ago. The company will try to fill in this void with this new model.
