- Bookings open at Rs 5,000
- Likely to be available in two colours
- To be priced at Rs 1.60 lakhs (ex-showroom)
The new Bajaj Dominar 250 is expected to be launched in India sometime this month. And according to our sources, the bike would be priced at Rs 1.60 lakhs (ex-showroom, Bangalore).
Now, a few dealerships across India have started accepting bookings for the Dominar 250 for a token amount of Rs 5,000. As spy images have revealed, the motorcycle sports the same design language as the bigger Dominar 400. It gets full-LED lighting, inverted forks and a similar instrument console. However, the skinnier tyres give it away.
The Bajaj Dominar 250 will come powered by a 248cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor borrowed from the KTM 250 Duke. While the motor on the KTM produces 29.6bhp and 24Nm; the Dominar 250 could offer slightly lesser power and torque that will be revised to suit its touring characteristics.
Bajaj is expected to introduce the Dominar 250 in two colour options- Red and Black. In terms of competition, the Bajaj Dominar 250 will compete against the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Yamaha FZ25.
