Bajaj is set to launch the new Dominar 250 in India in the next couple of weeks. Before it is introduced in the the country, we tell you what to expect from the Dominar 250.
Aggressive styling
The Bajaj Dominar 250 is an exact replica of the Dominar 400 in terms of styling. It gets the same bodywork as its bigger sibling, complete with the large tank, split-seat setup, and distinctive-looking exhaust canister. While the Dominar 400 is attractive in itself (so no one’s complaining), it also helps Bajaj in the economies of scale and keeping costs in check.
Full-LED lighting
Just like the Dominar 400, the Dominar 250 sports full-LED lighting for the headlamp, tail lamp and turn indicators. The motorcycle also gets the same dual-display that features in between the handlebars as well as on the tank.
A 248cc engine
The Dominar 250 will come powered by a 248cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled and fuel-injected engine borrowed from the KTM 250 Duke. While the KTM produces 29.6bhp and 24Nm of torque, we expect Bajaj to retune the Dominar’s engine and make it slightly less powerful.
Suspension and braking
As the spy images have revealed, the Bajaj Dominar 250 rides on inverted forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear. It gets disc brakes at both ends and is likely to come with a single-channel ABS.
Pricing
According to our dealer sources, the Bajaj Dominar 250 will be priced at Rs 1.60 lakhs (ex-showroom, Bangalore). Bookings for the motorcycle have already begun and deliveries are expected to take place by the end of this month.
