- New Dominar 400 launching soon
- Likely to get styling, feature upgrades
- Launch likely in October
Bajaj Auto will soon launch a new Dominar 400 in the next few months. This news was confirmed to us by a few dealers.
The 2021 edition of the Dominar 400 is expected to come with some styling changes and might also get some mechanical and features upgrades. The flagship Bajaj hasn’t been doing quite well for the company since its debut. In fact, as a touring bike, it is one of the finest in the country. But the overall weight of the bike is on the heavier side and that makes city riding a tedious affair.
Powering this Bajaj is a 373.27cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which makes 39.42bhp at 8,800rpm and 35Nm at 6,500rpm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox assisted by a slipper clutch. As for the hardware, the Dominar 400 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with 43mm upside down front forks and a multi-step adjustable rear monoshock. Braking setup includes 320mm disc up front and a 230mm disc at the rear. It tips the scales at a hefty 187kg (kerb) and incorporates a 13 litre fuel tank. On the feature front, Bajaj has equipped the bike with LED lighting all around, a data-intensive fully-digital instrument cluster and a dual-barrel exhaust.
We can expect the new Dominar 400 to make its debut sometime in October with a slight price increase.
