Bajaj Auto has announced the launch of the new Platina 100 KS, and the motorcycle now comes with a few tweaks that distinguish it from the old model. Here we list the top five highlights of the new Bajaj Platina 100 KS.
Styling
In the latest update, the Platina 100 KS receives black handguards as standard. Moreover, the motorcycle also gets a few tweaks to the visuals in the form of revised graphics. Everything else, however, is identical to its predecessor, and the new Platina 100 KS continues to pack features such as a halogen headlight with LED DRL, smoked visor, and alloy wheels.
Colours
The new Bajaj Platina 100 KS is available in two colours – Cocktail Wine Red and Ebony Black with Silver decals.
Engine
Mechanical specifications remain unaltered, and the new Platina 100 KS continues to use a BS6-compliant 102cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that makes 7.9bhp of maximum power and 8.34Nm of peak torque. The motor is linked to a four-speed transmission.
Hardware
The hardware, too, is identical to the old model, and the new Bajaj Platina 100 KS continues to use telescopic front forks and twin-sided rear springs to perform the suspension tasks. The anchoring setup comprises a 130mm drum at the front and a 110mm drum at the rear while the safety net is handled by CBS tech
Price
The new Bajaj Platina 100 KS carries a marginal premium over the old model, and it has been priced at Rs 51,667 (ex-showroom, India). While the company is yet to list the model on its website, the bookings have opened at the dealerships.
