Bajaj Auto has launched the ABS-equipped version of its small-size commuter motorcycle, the Platina 110 ABS. Priced at Rs 72,224 (ex-showroom), this is the only motorcycle in the entry-level commuter segment sporting the safety net in India.
Bajaj has equipped this version of the Platina 110 with a single-channel ABS with the aim to enhance the safety quotient of the motorcycle. Furthermore, the Platina 110 ABS also comes equipped with a digital speedometer which comprises an ABS indicator, gear position indicator, and gear guidance features. Also, this is the most expensive version of the bike which comes in three colour options including Ebony Black, Cocktail Wine Red, and Saffire Blue.
All the other aspects of the motorcycle remain the same as the existing variants. It comes powered by a 115.45cc, air-cooled mill that churns out 8.44bhp and 9.81Nm. This unit comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. As for the cycle parts, it rides on 17-inch wheels that are suspended by telescopic forks and dual springs (with Nitrox). The list of features comprises a halogen headlamp, with LED DRL, an 11-litre fuel tank, and a semi-digital console.
The Bajaj Platina 110 competes against the likes of the TVS Star City Plus, Hero Splendor Plus, and Honda CD 110 Dream.
