Looks like Bajaj is focusing more on the international market than the domestic market with their new products. After unveiling the Pulsar SS200 in Turkey, the company has unveiled the new Pulsar 150 in Colombia.
We were the first ones to bring you the exclusive pictures of the Pulsar 150 that was spied testing few months ago. With these new pictures, we can confirm that the new Pulsar 150 will look exactly like its elder sibling, the Pulsar 200NS. Apart from its displacement, everything has been carried forward from the Pulsar 200NS. Out of the entire product line-up, the Pulsar 150 and the Pulsar 180 were due for a major upgrade and it was obvious for the Pune-based manufacturer to develop new bikes based on the 200NS platform, as it has been the most successful Pulsar till now. Carrying forward the same design language helps the company keep cost in check as the same components from the 200NS will be used.
Bajaj is yet to reveal the technical specifications, but we are expecting the Pulsar 150 to use a more powerful engine than the existing 149cc single cylinder engine found in the Pulsar 150 DTS-i. The major change in the new Pulsar would be the introduction of triple-spark technology for optimum combustion. Once launched, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 will compete with the Suzuki Gixxer and the Yamaha FZ. We are expecting Bajaj to stick to the old price for the new model as the company is known to provide value for money products.
Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more details on the new Bajaj Pulsar 150.
