- Bajaj Pulsar 250 Indian launch scheduled on 28 October
- Will feature full-LED lighting
- To rival Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Yamaha FZ25
Bajaj Auto will expand its product portfolio with the highest-displacement Pulsar model in the Indian market on 28 October, 2021. The Pune-based manufacturer already gave a brief glimpse of the motorcycle through a teaser video. Once launched, the new Pulsar 250 will rival the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the FZ25 in India.
The new Pulsar 250 will retain the overall silhouette of the Pulsar 220F. However, it will feature a shaper design and updated features over the existing Pulsar motorcycles. The lighting, for example, will be full-LED. The instrument cluster, similar to its rivals, should feature a full-digital display. Bluetooth-connectivity, however, may not be part of the package. Other styling cues, as seen through the official teaser, would include fairing-mounted rear-view mirrors, a clip-on handlebar, a muscular fuel tank, step-up saddle, split-style alloy wheels, and a side-slung exhaust.
The details about the mechanical specifications are not available yet, although spy images have revealed that the motorcycle will use a single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled setup. While the details are scarce, we expect to see a peak power output of 23-25bhp and maximum torque of about 20Nm.
The motorcycle will retail at a premium price tag over the Pulsar 220, and we expect the new model to arrive in the 1.40-1.50 lakh (ex-showroom) range.
