- New Pulsar 250 series launch tomorrow
- To get a 250cc, air/oil-cooled engine
- Is ikely to be priced around Rs 1.40 lakh
The all-new Bajaj Pulsar 250 series is set to be launched in India tomorrow, 28 October. The motorcycle is expected to be offered in two versions- semi-faired and naked.
While details about the motorcycle are scarce, spy images and recent teaser videos have revealed much about the new Pulsar 250. To begin with, the biggest change is to its styling. The Pulsar 250F looks beefy upfront and will come with an LED headlamp unit with LED DRLs. Its exhaust canister is stubby and of the dual-barrel variety like the Dominar 400 and Dominar 250. Nevertheless, the rest of the bike’s silhouette looks similar to the Pulsar 220F.
Now, the new Pulsar 250 range is expected to be powered by a 250cc, single-cylinder engine with air/oil cooling. Its 17-inch wheels will come attached to telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock at the rear. Moreover, while the motorcycle is fitted with clip-on and split seats, we can expect it to offer fairly comfortable ergonomics.
With all the changes, Bajaj will undoubtedly price the Pulsar 250 higher than the 220F which costs Rs 1.33 lakh, ex-showroom. In terms of competition, the motorcycle will go up against the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Yamaha FZ-25.
