- Bajaj Pulsar 250 naked and faired bikes spied testing
- Spotted cruising at 120kmph
- India launch to take place in November 2021
Bajaj’s upcoming Pulsar 250 naked and faired motorcycles have been spotted multiple times to date. In fact, we were the first ones to release the spy shots and exclusive details about the naked version back in February 2021. While we have already told you a lot about the Pulsar 250 siblings in our stories, a new spy video has surfaced on the internet making new revelations about the bikes.
The video shows the camouflaged versions of the Pulsar 250 naked and faired bikes being ridden on the highway. The bikes were apparently doing decent speeds, somewhere over 100kmph. And then the person shooting the video shows the speedometer of their car that’s clocking 120kmph. Even at this pace, these bikes not only easily kept up but one of the test mules also managed to speed ahead of the car, demonstrating the torquey nature of this engine.
Although the exact specifications of this 250cc engine aren’t known yet, we do expect it to churn out 24bhp of peak power and around 20Nm of torque. The spy shots have also revealed that this will be an air/oil-cooled motor, instead of a liquid-cooled unit, in order to keep the costs in check. Looking at the size of its front disc, the Pulsar 250’s might also have commendable braking performance.
In terms of styling, the Pulsar 250 twins seem to retain the muscular visual appeal that the Pulsars are known for. However, the overall body work has sharper lines all over. We can also observe a full-LED lighting setup along with a digital console that might offer Bluetooth connectivity.
As for the launch timeline, Bajaj’s M.D. Rajiv Bajaj recently stated that the debut of the biggest Pulsars yet will take place in November, 2021. In all certainty, he was referring to the Pulsar 250 twins. Prices are likely to be around Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the Pulsar 250s will compete against the likes of the Yamaha FZ25 and the Suzuki Gixxer 250 twins.
