Bajaj Auto has announced that its new Pulsar 250 will be launched on 28 October, 2021. The company recently gave the first glimpse of the motorcycle through a teaser video. Here we tell you what to expect from the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 250.
Design
The new teaser images show a semi-faired Pulsar 250 that will feature a sharper design. The overall silhouette of this new Pulsar should be similar to the Pulsar 220F. The images show fairing-mounted rear-view mirrors, a clip-on handlebar, a muscular fuel tank, step-up saddle, split-style alloy wheels, and a side-slung exhaust. Despite the clip-on handlebar, the rider’s triangle should be upright and comfortable.
Features
The details about the features are limited, although we could see sleek turn indicators in the teaser images, which indicate that they would most likely be LED units. The headlight and taillight, too, would feature an LED setup. The instrument cluster should include a fully-digital display. Bajaj’s current motorcycles do not feature Bluetooth connectivity, although that may change with the Pulsar 250. The safety net may include a single-channel ABS.
Engine
Bajaj Auto has remained tight-lipped about the mechanical specifications, although spy images revealed a single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled setup. The motor could produce between 23-25bhp of maximum power and around 20Nm of peak torque.
Hardware
The new Pulsar 250 will ride on 17-inch alloy wheels. The suspension setup would include telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock while the braking tasks would be handled by single discs at both ends.
Expected Price
The new Pulsar 250 will be placed above the Pulsar 220F, and retail at a premium price over the existing model. The Bajaj Pulsar 220F, for reference, is available at Rs 1.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
