- Will be launched on 16 October
- To be powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder motor
- Will rival the TVS Raider 125 and Hero Xtreme 125R
Bajaj Auto has sent a press invite for the launch of an ‘All-new Pulsar’ on 16 October. We believe the motorcycle in question is the new Bajaj Pulsar N125. The bike has been spotted testing numerous times, and we finally have a launch date.
The launch invite reveals that the upcoming Pulsar will be ‘fun, agile, and urban’. And the ‘urban’ word denotes that the new Pulsar N125 could be a premium commuter with sporty and youthful styling. Spy images have revealed that the motorcycle will feature muscular-looking fuel tank extensions, split seats and two-piece grab rails. It will also get an LED headlamp.
Powering the new Pulsar N125 will be the same 125cc, single-cylinder motor seen on the current Pulsar 125. However, the engine could be tweaked to lend a sporty character to the bike. The engine will be paired with a five-speed gearbox.
Meanwhile, the braking hardware will include a disc brake up front and a rear drum brake. That said, Bajaj could offer a rear disc brake variant with single-channel ABS. Suspension duties will be handled by telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. Feature-wise, the Pulsar N125 could get a digital console with smartphone connectivity.
The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N125 will rival the TVS Raider 125 and the Hero Xtreme 125R. The bike could be priced around the Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 1 lakh mark (ex-showroom).
