Benelli will soon unveil the latest iteration of its 302R fully-faired motorcycle for the Chinese market. The company has posted a teaser image of the upcoming motorcycle ahead of its unveiling in China. The teaser image does not reveal many details, although leaked photographs from early 2020 already gave a detailed look at the upcoming motorcycle.
The latest iteration of the 302R will retain the styling cues from its predecessor, and thus come equipped with a full-fairing design, twin-pod headlight, clip-on style handlebars and split-seat setup. The motorcycle will retain the premium hardware setup that comprises of upside-down telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock to perform the shock absorption tasks. Braking power will come from twin discs at the front and a single rotor at the back.
While the styling will remain mostly unaltered, the engine will receive a few changes. The updated 302R will share its motor with the new Benelli 302S naked roadster. Thus, the fully-faired motorcycle will be powered by a 300cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve, DOHC engine. The motor is tuned to deliver 36.9bhp at 11,000rpm and 25.62Nm of maximum torque at 9,000rpm on the naked roadster and we expect to see similar numbers on the fully-faired model.
The updated model should arrive on the Indian shores, although the company is yet to make an announcement about the launch timeline for our market.
