BMW Motorrad India has announced the launch of the new C 400 GT in our market at an ex-showroom (India) price tag of Rs 9,95,000. The bookings for the midsize scooter have opened across India, and it will be available as a completely built-up unit (CBU).
The new C 400 GT packs features such as a twin-pod LED headlight with LED daytime running lights at the front, integrated turn indicators, a windshield, two glove compartments, a flex case under the single-section seat, and a Keyless Ride. The feature list also includes a Bluetooth-enabled 6.5-inch full-colour TFT screen and the BMW Motorrad Multi-Controller. The BMW Motorrad Connectivity App gives access to the navigation function. The C 400 GT is equipped with a side-stand and a centre-stand.
The mechanical specifications include a 350cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 33.5bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 35Nm of peak torque at 5,750rpm. The company claims a 0-100kmph acceleration in 9.5 seconds while the top speed has been rated at 139kmph. The motor is linked to a CVT gearbox.
The C 400 GT is built around a tubular steel frame. The suspension tasks are handled by telescopic front forks and two spring struts at the back. The anchoring tasks are handled by twin discs at the front and a single rotor at the rear while the safety net includes ABS. The scooter rides on 15-inch front/14-inch rear tyres. The company will offer a range of optional extras with the new C 400 GT.
