BMW Motorrad India has updated its portfolio with the launch of the 2023 M 1000 RR. This litre-class supersport motorcycle is available in two variants – standard and M Competition – with prices starting from Rs. 49 lakh for the base model. The M Competition variant, on the other hand, is available at Rs. 55 lakh. Here we present a detailed image gallery of the new 2023 BMW M 1000 RR.
The styling of the 2023 BMW M 1000 RR is similar to the standard S 1000 RR. Thus, this performance-spec model carries a twin-pod headlight, aerodynamic winglets, a full fairing, and a side-slung exhaust.
The fairing, winglets, mudguards, aero wheel cover, and wheels are made from carbon fibre. Meanwhile, forged wheels are available as an optional extra.
It also gets a redesigned rear section that is aimed to make it look lighter, sportier, and more dynamic. Further, the 2023 model gets a short number plate holder and an ergonomically designed M Endurance seat.
Notably, the standard variant gets the Light White Non-metallic paint, while the M Competition features Black Storm Metallic colour.
Both variants of the M 1000 RR use the same 999cc, inline, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this engine delivers a maximum output of 211bhp at 14,500rpm and a peak torque of 113Nm at 11,000rpm. The gearbox benefits from a bidirectional quick-shifter and a slip-and-assist clutch mechanism.
BMW Motorrad claims a top speed of 314kmph for the new M 1000 RR as against the 306kmph on the previous version.
The M Competition package brings equipment such as a lap trigger and activation code, milled parts package, carbon package, lighter swinging arm, DLC-coated chain, and pillion package including hump cover.
Meanwhile, both motorcycles feature a lightweight battery, a rear USB charging socket, LED lighting, electronic cruise control, heated grips, and a 6.5-inch TFT display.
The electronic rider aids comprise riding modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, and Race Pro 1, 2, and 3), a traction control system, wheelie control with a six-axis sensor box, throttle characteristics control, engine braking control, launch control, pit lane limited, and a hill start control.
