- New R1250RT revealed
- Gets radar cruise control
- Equipped with new instrument cluster
BMW Motorrad has become the second motorcycle brand to introduce the expensive radar cruise control on their motorcycle. Ducati was the first brand to unveil that tech on a production motorcycle.
For now, the German brand is offering this tech as an option on the new R1250RT. The radar tech can detect vehicles on the road upto 120 metres away. So according to the situations, the technology will allow the bike to keep pace on the road or apply brakes or modulate speed. The system has also been designed to automatically reduce speed in corners in line with the bike’s bank angle.
For 2021, this BMW gets some aesthetic upgrades. The upper fairing has been resigned and now looks sharper. There’s a new front mudguard on offer as well. The bike is equipped with full LED headlights. BMW has given the R1250RT a brand new 10.25inch TFT screen with integrated navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.
The will go on sale in Europe early next year and will come to India mid next year.
