- New S1000RR to be launched on 17 January
- Gets new styling elements
- Bookings to open from this month
Yesterday, we spoke about BMW Motorrad’s intentions of launching the new R13000 GS Adventure at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show. Now, there’s another confirmation – the new S1000RR will also be launched at the expo.
The 2025 edition of the S1000RR has received a lot of aesthetic upgrades that could eventually lead to better performance on a race track. The front fascia of this supersport looks bigger than the outgoing model, thanks to the presence of a curvier headlamp cowl. The winglets have grown and are almost as big as on the M 1000 RR. These new winglets are claimed to generate more downforce. The fairings, similar to the 2009 model, boast an asymmetrical design with an exit vent on the left side and gills on the right. Moreover, BMW has integrated brake cooling ducts into the front fender to cool down the disc brakes during track sessions.
The German manufacturer has now equipped this S1000RR with Pro riding modes and M Quick-Action throttle. The 999cc motor on this bike makes 206.51bhp and 113Nm of peak performance. The list of electronic aids available is expansive as always with traction control, slide control function, ABS with brake slide assist, four ride modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Race), hill start control, bi-directional quickshifter, launch control, and pit lane limiter.
The BMW S 1000 RR is available in three variants in India – standard, Pro, and Pro M Sport with prices ranging between Rs. 20.75 lakh and Rs. 25.25 lakh, ex-showroom. The 2025 edition is likely to be priced marginally higher than the current model.
