BMW Motorrad has confirmed that it will be unveiling the new S1000RR at the Intermot Show that will be held at the end of the month. Not only this, the German manufacturer has teased two more new models that will debut at the EICMA 2014.
The new S1000RR is expected to get refreshed bodywork, few tweaks to its engine and a restyled exhaust. We can expect few features to come from the HP4, like the Bosch cornering-ABS system as standard and semi-active suspension. BMW Motorrad is quite secretive when it comes to full technical specifications, but will it be worth the wait? We will get our answers at the Intermot show.
One of the two models to debut at the EICMA 2014 is the adventure version of the S1000RR, christened as S1000XR. The prototype of this bike was spotted quite a number of times and once launched, it will directly compete with the Ducati Multistrada 1200. The other motorcycle in question could be the 2015 version of the R1200R that might get few new additions and updates.
All the three motorcycles will make their way to India, only after it is launched globally. But unlike other markets, Indians have to pay a hefty price for these bikes due to high taxation policy. But for BMW enthusiasts in the country, this is hardly a reason.
