Yamaha has announced a host of new colours for many of the bikes in its current international range. From these bikes, the YZF-R1 and the YZF-R1M are the ones that interest us because they are sold in India. We are sure that these colour scheme updates will make it to the Indian bikes since they are imported as CBUs. However, Yamaha had no comment on the same.
The first new colour option for the Yamaha YZF-R1 is called tech black. It is a matte/satin black paint scheme, that gives this supersport motorcycle a mean stealthy appearance. The second new colour is based on the race blu paint scheme, which is available currently. However, with the new graphics the motorcycle now has more blue and less silver, unlike the current model where silver overpowers the blue.
The YZF-R1M, which is the track-bred version of the ‘normal’ R1, has also received a colour scheme update. The limited edition, Yamaha M1 inspired race bike will be available in the same colours but a new graphic layout. Surprisingly, the graphics have become more minimalistic with squared out lines separating the silver, blue and the black.
The updated motorcycles are expected to be available sometime during March 2017.
