- Rocket 3 R now available in Matte Silver Ice
- GT variant gets two new colours
- No changes to design or specifications
Triumph Motorcycles India has announced new colours for its power cruiser, the Rocket 3. The Rocket 3 R is now available in Matte Silver Ice while the Rocket 3 GT is listed in Carnival Red with Sapphire Black and Sapphire Black colours. The changes are limited to cosmetics in the form of new colours. The design and specifications, on the other hand, remain unaltered.
Thus, both motorcycles continue to pack a twin-pod headlight setup, bar-end mirrors, muscular fuel tank, split-style seats, rear tyre-hugger-mounted numberplate and turn indicators, single-sided swingarm, and wide-profile tyres. The GT variant further benefits from additional, touring-focussed accessories, such as a flyscreen and pillion backrest.
The mechanical specifications retain the BS6-compliant 2,458cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to deliver 165bhp at 6,000rpm and 221Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm.
In other news, the limited-edition Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black have been sold out in the Indian market. These were available in limited numbers and were priced at Rs 20.90 lakh and 21.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for Rocket 3 R Black and Rocket 3 GT Triple Black, respectively.
