Ducati India has confirmed via its social media handles that the new Hyperstrada BS6 will be launched in our market on 10 November, 2021. The Euro5-compliant version of the motorcycle is available in the international markets and we expect the BS6 variant to carry similar specifications. The Euro5-compliant 937cc Ducati Testastretta 11-degree V-twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine is tuned to produce 112.4bhp of power at 9,000rpm and 96Nm of peak torque at 7,250rpm.
Ducati offers the latest iteration of the Hypermotard 950 in three variants in the international markets – Hypermotard 950, Hypermotard 950 RVE, and the Hypermotard 950 SP. The details about the India-bound Hypermotard 950 are limited although we expect to see the base model in our market.
In terms of design, the new Hypermotard 950 features a twin under-seat exhaust setup, minimal bodywork, a trellis frame, a trellis sub-frame, a wide handlebar, knuckleguard-integrated LED blinkers, a flat seat, and 17-inch wheels. The feature list on the motorcycle includes LED lighting, a 4.3-inch TFT display, tapered aluminium handlebar, removable passenger footpegs, and a USB power socket. The electronic rider aids, which work with Bosch six-axis inertial platform, comprise cornering ABS, traction control and wheelie control. The motorcycle also features riding modes and power modes.
The Hypermotard 950 BS6 should carry a premium over its predecessor and we expect the motorcycle to arrive in the Rs 12.50 lakh to Rs 13.50 lakh (ex-showroom) price range.
