- Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak variant spotted on test again
- Expected to be powered by the same 1,158cc motor
- Features golden coloured USD front forks
Ducati Mutistrada V4 Pikes Peak variant was spotted on test in March this year. Now, again the Italian brand has been found testing the sportier version of the Mutistrada V4 at a European track.
In the spy shots, it can be seen sporting all LED lights, DRL at the front, tank extension connecting to its headlamp unit, underbelly pan, exhaust having a rectangular tip, wider rubber at the rear, a rear carrier and 17-inch wheels. The new Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak seems to be more on-road centric, as it gets smaller wheels as compared to the 19-inches used on the standard variant.
We expect it to be powered by the same 1,158cc engine and also retain the electronics like the cornering ABS, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Vehicle Hold Control (VHC), and Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL). The heavyweight ADV is suspended by golden-coloured USD Ohlins forks at the front and a yellow shock coil, at the rear, similar to the ones that we have seen on the Multistrada 1260 Pikes Peak. For braking it will employ Brembo-sourced callipers.
Moreover, the Pikes Peak variant will also feature a single-sided swingarm and Akrapovic exhaust system. However, the details related to its colour options are still awaited. We expect this Pikes Peak model to cost a premium when compared to its base variant. The heavyweight ADV is expected to hit our shores by early 2022.
