In the third episode of the Ducati World Première web series, the Italian two-wheeler manufacturer has revealed the Panigale V4 SP. The new variant will join the Panigale V4 and Panigale V4 S in the company’s portfolio.
The new Panigale V4 SP marks the return of the historic “SP” (Sport Production) acronym. The Panigale V4 SP is numbered, and the number is engraved on the machined steering head. The SP model is loaded with premium components such as carbon rims, Brembo Stylema R front brake callipers, dry clutch, and Rizoma anodised aluminium footpegs (fully adjustable).
Styling cues on the SP model include MotoGP and Superbike team’s winter tests inspired livery that makes the motorcycle even more desirable. The fuel tank is in exposed aluminium while the fairings are matte black with fluorescent red details. The carbon components are used for the front mudguard and wings.
The SP model also gets a racing kit for track use. This kit includes solid aluminium caps for the removal of the rear-view mirrors, a kit for the removal of the license plate holder, open clutch cover and, the Ducati Data Analyzer with GPS module.
The Panigale V4 SP boasts a maximum power output of 211bhp and 123.5Nm of peak torque. The motorcycle tips the weighing scale at just 173kg (dry).
Apart from announcing the Panigale V4 SP, Ducati has also confirmed that all variants of the Panigale V4 series are now Euro5-compliant. The updated Panigale V4 and V4 S will be available in the international markets from December. The Panigale V4 SP is scheduled to be available from March 2021.
