Ducati India has announced the launch of the new Panigale V4 SP in our market. This new variant of the Panigale V4 range features a special livery, although the hardware and specifications remain similar to the standard Panigale V4S. Here we list the top five highlights of the new Ducati Panigale V4 SP.
Styling
This new variant of the Panigale V4 range benefits from styling upgrades in the form of a new paint theme. The new Panigale V4 SP gets the ‘Winter Test’ livery that takes inspiration from the company’s pre-season MotoGP and SBK motorcycles. The motorcycle features a black base paint along with highlights of red across the bodywork. Furthermore, it also features a brushed aluminum finish to the fuel tank. The motorcycle also gets several weight saving measures in the form of Marchesini forged aluminium wheels and carbon fibre wings, carbon fibre heel guards, and a carbon fibre front fender. The weight-saving measures help the Panigale V4 SP tip the weighing scale at 172kg, which is 1.3kg lesser than the Panigale V4 S variant.
Features
The feature list remains similar to the standard motorcycle, and the new Panigale V4 SP continues to use a twin-pod LED headlight, an LED taillight, and a fully-digital instrument cluster. The list of optional extras include an open carbon fibre clutch cover, Ducati Data Analyzer and GPS module, a license plate removal plug, and machined mirror block-off plates. The electronic rider aids on the motorcycle comprise a quickshifter, riding and power modes, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, slide control, engine brake control, and launch control.
Engine
The mechanical specifications on the Panigale V4 SP include the same 1,103cc, V4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, Desmosedici Stradale engine that also powers the rest of the Panigale V4 motorcycles. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to produce 214bhp of power at 13,000rpm and 124Nm of peak torque at 9,500rpm.
Hardware
The suspension tasks are handled by 43mm Ohlins upside-down front forks and Ohlins rear mono-shock – both fully adjustable electronically. The braking setup comprises twin 330mm discs with Brembo Monobloc Stylema four-piston callipers at the front and a single 245mm rotor with a two-piston calliper at the back.
Price
This new variant of the Panigale V4 range has been priced at Rs 36.07 lakh. In comparison, the standard Panigale V4 is available for Rs 23.50 lakh while the V4 S is listed at Rs 28.40 lakh.
