- India launch on 3 July, 2023
- Developed in partnership with Hero MotoCorp
- Will rival the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Honda Hness CB 350
Harley-Davidson has released a new teaser video of its upcoming motorcycle, the X440 ahead of its India launch in July 2023. The latest promotional footage released on the company’s social media handles reveals the exhaust note of this motorcycle. This new model from Harley-Davidson packs a throaty exhaust note similar to the ones on the long-stroke, mid-capacity thumpers in India, including the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Honda Hness CB350.
The exact specifications of this engine are not available yet. However, this motorcycle is expected to arrive with a 440cc, single-cylinder, oil and air-cooled engine that will redline at 8,000rpm. We expect the output figures to be close to 30bhp and 35Nm. Meanwhile, the hardware on this motorcycle, as seen in various images previously, will include upside-down front forks, twin rear springs, and disc brakes on both wheels. The safety aids will most likely comprise a dual-channel ABS and a side-stand engine cut-off function. Other features of this motorcycle will include full-LED lighting and a fully-digital instrument cluster.
This new budget-friendly Harley-Davidson, which has been developed in partnership with Hero MotoCorp, will be launched in India on 3 July, 2023. It will rival the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Honda H’ness CB350 in India. Thus, we expect it to arrive around the Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom) price range.
