The Indian market has a thing for special and limited editions two-wheelers. We love the concept of it being special, in terms of design. But most of the time, we tend to get the special edition bikes either during a national event or during the festive season. However, Hero MotoCorp decided to unveil a special edition of their recently launched Achiever 150.
This limited edition Hero Achiever 150 has been developed to commemorate Hero’s 70 million sales. Interestingly, this clashes with India’s 70th Independence year.
Only 70 of these will ever be sold in India. Chances are most of them will be spoken for within an hour of booking commencement.
The fuel tank gets the 70 million special edition sticker and logo. Hero has taken the Indian tri-colour approach to it.
There’s a nice Indian tri-colour decal that runs on the side of the fuel tank.
The bikini fairing, fuel tank and the grab rail gets the white paint treatment. Rest everything is the same, aesthetically and mechanically.
Hero MotoCorp hasn’t announced the pricing of this limited edition model yet, but we believe it’ll cost Rs 1000 more than the regular versions.
