- New Hero Destini 125 Xtec variant launched
- Gets additional features
- Subtle visual changes too
Hero MotoCorp has fueled its scooter portfolio with some excitement by launching the new Xtec variant of the Destini 125 in India. It demands a premium over the standard trim with prices starting from Rs 79,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new Xtec trim looks more premium than the base model with the presence of chrome highlights in certain areas like mirrors and handlebar cowl. Other design add-ons enhancing its visual appeal include 'XTEC’ badging, dual-tone seat and coloured inner panels.
The new Destini Xtec also gets a couple of additional features like an LED headlight. Similar to its rivals like the Suzuki Access 125, it also offers Bluetooth connectivity now. The semi-digital instrument cluster pairs with the rider's smartphone and provides alerts regarding incoming calls, missed calls, and, messages. A USB charger is also a part of the package now.
For added comfort for the pillion rider, Hero has included a pillion backrest in the Xtec variant. Further, the Destini is available in seven colour options in total but the new Nexus Blue paint scheme is exclusive to the Xtec trim. As for the engine and other cycle parts, the Xtec remains identical to the standard model. It is powered by a 125cc engine that churns out 9bhp of power at 7000rpm and 10.4Nm of peak torque at 5500rpm.
