Hero Motocorp has just updated the Maestro Edge 125 in the Indian market. The scooter will be available in three variants: Drum, Disc and Connected. The Drum variant is priced at Rs 72,250, while the Disc and the Connected variants are priced at Rs 76,500 and 79,750, ex-showroom, respectively. The Indian two-wheeler manufacturer has revised the styling of the scooter, which has now made it look much sharper than before. The updated scooter gets a chrome element at the front, graphics on its sides and a chunky rear grab handle.
The connected variant is offered in two new paint schemes: Prismatic Yellow and Prismatic Purple, while the drum variant gets four colours: Candy Blazing Red, Panther Black, Pearl Silver White, and Matte Techno Blue. On the other hand, the disc variant is available in a total of six colour options: Prismatic Yellow, Prismatic Purple, Candy Blazing Red, Panther Black, Pearl Silver White, and Matte Techno Blue.
The new Maestro Edge 125 is offered with features like projector LED headlamp, LED taillight, daytime running light, a fully digital instrument cluster and side stand engine cutoff.
The scooter further gets the Hero Connect feature that assists the rider with vehicle start alert, topple alert, trip analysis, driving score, speed alert, live tracking, tow away alert, geo-fence alert and the hero locate.
This updated model draws power from a 124.6cc, single-cylinder air-cooled Fi engine that churns out 9bhp of power at 7,000rpm and 10.4Nm of twist at 5,500rpm.
The ride of the scooter is taken care of by telescopic forks at the front and a unit swing arm suspension at the rear. Meanwhile, for braking it employs a 190mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear for the Disc variant, while it uses a 130mm drum on both ends for the Drum variant.
The scooter rides on 18-inch wheels. These wheels are wrapped in tyres having 80mm width at the front and 100mm width at the rear. The seat height here is kept at 793mm while the scooter weighs 122kg.
