Hero MotoCorp unveiled the new Pleasure last year along with other new products. The company didn’t disclose its launch details until the beginning of this month in their February sales release. Hero MotoCorp has confirmed to launch the new Pleasure along with the new Xtreme, Karizma R and the Karizma ZMR this month. The first batch of new Pleasures has already reached few showrooms and we expect the bookings might have started too.
The new Pleasure gets a new headlamp and tail lamp design, revised instrument cluster and two tone paint scheme. It also gets alloy-wheels with tubeless tyres, side-stand indicator, mobile charger under the seat and an illuminated glove box which will be useful at night. Mechanically, the scooter gets the same single-cylinder 102cc engine that produces 6.74bhp and 7.85Nm of torque.
The Gurgaon-based manufacturer has introduced the Integrated Braking System (IBS). The IBS improves the rider’s safety and provides comfort of one brake handle for both the front and rear wheels. The company claims that this new technology has been developed by their in-house R&D team.
We are expecting Hero MotoCorp to price the new Pleasure with the same price tag as that of the current model. Engine wise the new Pleasure doesn’t have direct competition but will compete with the Honda Activa-i.
