- Teaser image hints at a new variant of the Splendor
- Likely to get new graphics and updated features
- Launch likely soon
Hero MotoCorp has released a teaser image of a new motorcycle that is expected to arrive in the Indian market very soon.
While the company has not revealed many details, the teaser image hints that this upcoming motorcycle could be the updated iteration of the Splendor. The image shows off a very familiar design that includes a rectangular shape for the headlight, a body-coloured cowl, and alloy wheels.
We expect this upcoming model to benefit from new graphics. The feature list, too, may receive a few upgrades. The teaser image states, “Bold new style meets futuristic technology.” Could this mean that the Splendor will get XTEC Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation, then? The teaser does suggest it. But we will wait for the official announcement.
The details about the mechanical specifications are not available yet. However, unless Hero MotoCorp surprises us with a 125cc variant of the motorcycle, we expect this upcoming model to use the same 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as the existing Splendor. Linked to a four-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to deliver 7.9bhp of power at 8,000rpm and 8.05Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm.
While the launch details are yet to be revealed, we expect this new model to arrive very soon.
