- New XPulse 200 4V launched
- Gets 3 ABS modes
- LED headlight is 230 per cent brighter
Hero MotoCorp has launched the new XPulse 2004V. This bike is priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom), and there’s also a pro variant, which is more expensive at 1.51 lakh (ex-showroom).
This new XPulse 2004V is now OBD2 compliant and also gets a motor which is E20 compliant. This 200cc single-cylinder engine can now run on an ethanol-blended fuel mixture of up to 20 per cent. This ADV also gets a taller windscreen to maximize wind protection. The fascia has been updated with a new LED projector, which the company claims has increased the light intensity by 230 per cent.
This new XPulse 200 4V is now equipped with multiple riding modes. The bike now gets three ABS modes - road, off-road and rally. The company claims that the ABS works optimally in road mode to deliver maximum braking performance with its single-channel ABS system. In off-road mode, ABS intervention is low, which helps in more control when braking off-road. The rally mode is where the ABS on the front wheel is entirely off – something only advanced riders should use.
The Gurgaon-based manufacturer has rebranded the Rally version to the Pro variant. This model gets fully-adjustable suspension at both ends, a taller seat and a handlebar riser. An extended gear lever is present to accommodate off-road boots, and a longer side stands for the bike to be appropriately placed on the ground.
The new XPulse is available in four colours – Matte Nexus Blue, Techno Blue, Black Sports Red and the Rally Edition graphics. The bookings for the bike have already commenced at all Hero dealerships, and the deliveries will begin in a few days.
